More NORML Than Imagined

As I learn more about marijuana and inspiring people involved in the movement, the great number of people fighting for their rights and making a difference already impresses me. Focusing on positive connections between cannabis culture and fashion, I came across the NORML Women’s Alliance. Recently, these women involved in working to reform marijuana laws, and the creators of the first pro-pot online magazine for women were featured in an editorial photo shoot. Along with images of the women styled by fashion industry professionals, an interview also explains that the entire point is a “high-style photo shoot designed to reframe the perception of the marijuana legalization movement, and the stereotype of those involved.”

When someone who is considered a positive influence openly smokes marijuana, then another false rumor against cannabis is proven wrong. These women represent that, and Pepper from Pot Couture explains that, “There’s still this idea that supporters of marijuana reform are on the fringes of society, but that’s just not the case. Marijuana is as mainstream as it gets, and these women are proof.”

Always look to the bright side of the sun,
