Y-3 Fall 2011 Collection Reincarnates Spirit of Vietnam Hippie Protestor

Y-3, designer Yohji Yamamoto ties his latest Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection to the spirit of his past, "Our generation—you can call it the beatnik generation or the Vietnam War generation; we have been called hippies—our generation has been traveling all around the world, by walking. Now the young people don't make this kind of travel. I want to catch this spirit [and give it] back to young people."

Noticeable trends with polka dots, braids, boots, and a positive sustainable "hippie" mindset will definitely be followed in Fall 2011. To achieve this style, all you need is two feet and a heartbeat.
